人生で大きな苦難に直面したときの希望と慰めの歌です。

あなたのたくさんの恵みを数えてごらんとは、自分がどれほど神様からの愛を受けているかを改めて自覚せよということでしょう。

今までも神様の愛を受け、たくさんの恵みを受けて生きてきました。

ずっと、神様に守られて生きてきたのです。

だからそれをよく自覚すれば、どんなに大きな苦難も乗り切れると言っています。

心惑わされたりせず、ひたすら信仰を貫き、心の平安を守ることを説いています。
